Destiny Is Not Fate
Many people confuse destiny with fate. Fate is passive — it suggests that your life is predetermined and you have no choice. Destiny is active — it is a calling that requires your participation, your effort, and your faith.
God has a plan for your life, but you must choose to walk in it. Destiny is a partnership between divine purpose and human action.
Discovering Your Destiny
How do you discover your destiny? It begins with understanding three things:
At the intersection of these three elements, you will find your destiny.
The Enemy of Destiny
The greatest enemy of destiny is not failure — it is comfort. More people miss their destiny because they are comfortable than because they are struggling. Comfort breeds complacency, and complacency is the death of destiny.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11
Walking in Your Destiny
Once you discover your destiny, you must have the courage to walk in it. This may mean leaving behind what is comfortable for what is calling. It may mean facing opposition, criticism, and doubt. But the reward of living a life of purpose far outweighs the cost of playing it safe.
